Submitted By (Submission ID): RajniKant Varma from India (117295530) Subject: Booking of hotel accomodation through Travelguru.com Description: I had booked 2 rooms at Hotel CentrePoint Srinagar from 24/6/13 to 29/06/13, vide booking ID TGU0001019776, which was confirmed vide e-mail dt. 20/05/13. Subsequently on 31/05/13, I received another mail from Travelguru that my booking could not be confirmed and I was being offered alternate accommodation in some other hotel which was not upto mark. Obviously I could not accept the alternative accommodation and opted for cancellation of booking and refund. Cancellation of confirmed booking after 10 days is something unheard of, and unprofessional. I was left in a lurch for no fault of mine. It is felt that I am entitled for compensation from Travelguru.com. Testimony: I testify that the information provided above is true to the best of my knowledge and I have no malafide intention in making this submission and if so not found in future, I will be responsible for any liability arising from it. I confirm that I have the necessary supporting evidence to prove my submission and I undertake to furnish the same if need be.
