Subject: we bought a engine and it doesnt work
Description: Hi
We bought a engine from a guy, i put the engine into the vehicle, when I started the engine i hear a bearing knock. I phone the guy an tell that the engine is not right, he must come to check it again. The guy the vehicle and go and checked the engine over a weekend. He bring the vehicle back and said the engine is working fine. so i take the vehicle for a drive and the engine got stuck, so i tell him again and he said it is not his problem anymore, because the engine was right, so i took the engine out and send it to be checked out. The guys tell me that the engine is not right, all the channels was dirty and clogged. SO the i took it out myself and do a complete check up through the engine and see the engine have a second bearing knock. I guy all the parts again and put all new parts in the engine, so now the engine is working fine. Tell me what can i do regarding this matter, because i lost a lot of money and i have to the all over again. If you need any contact!

We currently do not have tie-ups in your country but can assure you to have some in no time going forward to help disgruntled consumers like you. Till then we kindly request your patience.
ReplyDeleteHowever still we can suggest some actions that may help you to resolve your grievance ASAP.
- if you have lost all hopes of an amicable resolution with product/ service provider then stop accepting any requests to fix the issue from them and make it absolutely clear to them that you are no longer interested in their product/ service and want acceptable and commensurate compensation for the extent of damage caused including and accounting for all the pain that you had to go through in the process.
- the best way to deal in such matters is to provide 10days written notice to product/ service provider by a registered post making it absolutely clear to them that if an agreeable resolution is not reached within the said notice period of 10days then you will be forced to take punitive and enforcement action against them.
- specify in your notice itself one and more possible actions which you can and intend to take such as:
-- filing a complaint with consumer court to recover financial loss.
-- filing a complaint with regulatory authorities for appropriate action for the deficiency in product/ service.
-- filing a complaint with local authorities/ governing bodies to take note and appropriate action.
-- filing a complaint with consumer welfare organizations for taking note and appropriate action.
-- registering a complaint with online consumer forums for taking note and appropriate action.
-- spreading the word on internet, social sites and by word-of-mouth to alert other consumers.
- mostly it is seen that the grievances are resolved expeditiously after such a notice is sent and the same can be expected in your case.
Good luck and best wishes...
