Complaint No. 50923863 against Kruger National Park registered by Peter Terry dated 17 June 2011
Subject: Unacceptable standards...
Description:
We spent 4 nights at Talamati Camp, 6-10 June. We were given room 10 which had been refurbished. We had too many problems, the worst of which were:
1. There was not enough water pressure to shower. Management checked and agreed. Their solution was for us to use an unoccupied room each night to shower. No attempt was made to fix the problem.
2. There were no reading lights in the bedroom. This meant that I had to get out of bed, go to the door, switch off the overhead lights and use a torch to find my way back to bed. They provided a reading lamp and the handyman's extension lead so that "we could put the lamp wherever we wanted"
3.There were no coat hangers in either bedroom. Solution: install a rail and hangers in the bedroom we were not using.
There were many other problems. The cost for 4 nights was R6000.00 plus. We wanted to change to another camp prior to going as we had heard there were problems at Talamati but they wanted R2000.00 to change! I would appreciate your help.

try to amicably reach a resolution for the deficiency in service during your stay with them. if that doesn't work try and escalate the matter. even if that doesn't work give them a written notice of say 10days to amicably settle the matter or else you intend to take legal action against them. even if that doesn't work you are left with the only option of taking penal and enforcement action against them seeking adequate compensation including charges incurred in the entire process.
