Subject: HARASSMENT BY LG SERVICE CENTRE,NOIDA AND LG\'s INSENSITIVE ATTITUDE
Description: Dear Sir,
Please refer my various e-mails vide which I have tried to bring to the kind notice of LG Services- the plight of the loyal customers of LG and the insensitive attitude shown so far by LG Service. I have five items of LG in my house ranging from Washing machine, microwave, two window AC and LG Color TV. These items were bought by me considering the after sales service provided by LG.
However, it is regretted to note that since last two years, the services of LG have deteriorated and I am repenting on my decision to buy LG products. The franchisee service centres of LG are experimenting with the customer products and delaying the services. Any fault on the part of the service centres are passed on to the customer stating that the item has grown old.
I would again like to bring to your kind notice the following facts stating my plight and poor services rendered by SERVOTAX,LG Service Center, NOIDA:
My window AC is in the workshop of SERVOTAX,LG since July'11 on one account or the other.
My AC was working fine and was sent to SERVOTAX,NOIDA for gas filling . My original complaint was for filling the gas in AC vide RNA110719036551 dated 19.07.11 July'11.
The gas leaked on the second day itself due to poor services provided by SERVOTAX,NOIDA.
When AC was returned after refilling by gas, the capacitor blasted due to moisture left out in AC while testing leakage in the SERVOTAX,NOIDA. This is again carelessness on the part of SERVOTAX,NOIDA. Any bigger blast would have been dangerous to me & my family.
Please note that even the louvers were not rotating when SERVOTAX,NOIDA returned AC to us for use after repair. This clearly shows carelessness on the part of authorized service center of LG who created this new problem.
After changing the capacitor, when the AC was returned to us by SERVOTAX,NOIDA, it was found that the AC is drawing more current approx 42 amp leading to power off in the house. In addition to this, the louvers were still not rotating and the temperature knob has been misaligned wherein we could not fix the knob. This also shows the carelessness on the part of authorized service center of LG.
My AC has again bee taken by LG in the last week of Aug'11 and is lying with SERVOTAX,NOIDA.
Upon bringing the same to your notice, you have stated that AC was ten years old and hence compressor has failed. Please note that I have another AC in my house which is of equal age but its compressor is working fine. So it cannot be said that because of age, compressor has failed.
It is to be noted that LG has shown insensitiveness to my complaint and I am suffering in the hot and humid weather with my AC in SERVOTAX,NOIDA for so long. LG has been asking me to pay for the compressor of AC which has failed in SERVOTAX,NOIDA workshop while repair and not in my house during use.
It is very clear that SERVOTAX,NOIDA has created one problem after the other by the repairs carried out by them and LG has sided with their authorized service center instead of bringing justice to the loyal customer.
After compressor failure, even the scrap value of my AC has reduced to zero by none other than LG authorized service center.
Please note all my complaints have been brought to the notice of LG customer care and various service request numbers are available in your record.
In view of above, I again request LG to look into the poor services provided by SERVOTAX,NOIDA and fix the responsibility of compressor failure on it who had time and again done defective repair leading to failure of one part after the other. Please note that I am suffering since July'11 and any attempt by LG to side with Service Center shall be gross injustice to the consumer. Even the life of my family has been endangered due to their defective repairs. You are once again requested to get the necessary repairs done by LG themselves at their cost and immediately return my AC in working condition to me.

ReplyDeleteWe suggest the following actions that may help you to resolve your grievance ASAP.
- if you have lost all hopes of an amicable resolution with product/ service provider then stop accepting any requests to fix the issue from them and make it absolutely clear to them that you are no longer interested in their product/ service and want acceptable and commensurate compensation for the extent of damage caused including and accounting for all the pain that you had to go through in the process.
- the best way to deal in such matters is to provide 10days written notice to product/ service provider by a registered post describing in detail the entire dispute and making it absolutely clear to them that if an agreeable resolution is not reached within the said notice period of 10days then you will be forced to take punitive and enforcement action against them.
- you may also like to indicate what you are looking for in terms of compensation to settle the dispute amicably.
- specify in your notice itself one and more possible actions which you can and intend to take such as:
-- filing a complaint with consumer court to recover financial loss.
-- filing a complaint with regulatory authorities for appropriate action for the deficiency in product/ service.
-- filing a complaint with local authorities/ governing bodies to take note and appropriate action.
-- filing a complaint with local welfare associations such as Resident Welfare Associations (RWA) to take note of the matter and alert other consumers in the area.
-- filing a complaint with consumer welfare organizations for taking note and appropriate action.
-- registering a complaint with online consumer forums for taking note and appropriate action.
-- spreading the word on internet, social sites and by word-of-mouth to alert other consumers.
-- filing a Right to Information (RTI) application to expedite action on your grievance if applicable.
- mostly it is seen that the grievances are resolved expeditiously after such a notice is sent and the same can be expected in your case.
- however, if this doesn't work then you have no choice but to take legal action against them and for which you may contact us separately after you have firmly made-up your mind to the extent you are willing to go to take action against the product/ service provider in your pursuit of justice.
