Subject: Complaint against USHA INTERNATION LTD. for Sewing Machine 'Flora's non-performance
Description: Complaint against USHA INTERNATION LTD.
My wife is stitching clothes from home. I am ex-servicemen and presently unemployed since last 4 months. We have demanded full throttle sewing machine and Thane based Usha dealer have supplied Flora model of Usha International. which we purchased through "1971 Central Ordinance Depot, CSD canteen" vide Bill No. 018577 dated 12 Sep 2010 @ cost of Rs.4937.00.
1. The machine is not working as it has been advertised.
2. It stops while working, not taking load of folded cloth, breaking needles now and then.
Since it is under warranty the company sends their technician and he comes and adjust machine which works for some time and then again same problems as mentioned above occurs.
First time when he came he said since you are not familiar with the machine this problem occurs. My wife is degree holder and having 18yrs of experience in stitching on various machines.
Now after three visits he expected that this machine is failure and Usha company now not manufacturing it, if you will try to fold the cloth and stitch it will not work.
Now the question is if the cloth is not fold then how to stitch it? You can't.
I sent online complains, sent it through my email to corporate@ushainternational.com which is given on their site but they are not responding. the machine is lying idle since the date of purchase.
It is requested to take up this case with Usha international for taking back this machine. We are ready to purchase advance model with full throttle "Tailor master" or equivalent and also ready to pay the differences as per CSD rate.

Dear Consumer,
ReplyDeleteWe observe:
- that you have not been able to enjoy the product/ service as desired.
- that you have been systematic in raising your grievance with all those who should be concerned.
- that no one has duly cared to resolve your grievance expeditiously and in timely manner leaving you with a bad taste for the product/ service provider.
- that you have given ample opportunity to product/ service provider to resolve your grievance but to no use.
- that you have been made to waste a lot of your time running around and following-up.
- that you have been struggling to get your grievance addressed suitably and hence looking for advice.
We suggest the following actions that may help you to resolve your grievance asap.
- you need to firmly make-up your mind to the extent you are willing to go to take action against the product/ service provider.
- if you have lost all hopes of any cordial resolution then stop accepting any requests to fix the issue from product/ service provider and make it absolutely clear to them that you are no longer interested in their product/ service and want acceptable and commensurate compensation for the extent of damage caused including and accounting for all the pain that you had to go through.
- the best way to deal in such matters is to provide 10days written notice to product/ service provider by a registered post making it absolutely clear to them that if the issue is not resolved appropriately you will be forced to take punitive and enforcement action against them, one and more of which could be:
1. filing a complaint with consumer court to recover financial loss.
2. filing a complaint with regulatory authorities for appropriate action for the deficiency in product/ service.
3. filing a complaint with welfare associations such as RWA of your colony to take note of the matter and alert other consumers locally.
4. filing a complaint with consumer welfare organizations for taking note and appropriate action.
5. registering a complaint with online consumer forums for taking note and appropriate action.
6. spreading the word on internet, social sites and by word-of-mouth to alert other consumers.
- mostly it is seen that the issues are resolved expeditiously after such a notice is sent and the same can be expected in your case.
- however, if this doesn't work then you have no choice but to take legal action against them and for which you may contact us separately if the need be.
Good luck and best wishes...
