Subject: DDA refund mess created by ICICI Bank
Description: ICICI Bank didn't courier the DDA refund cheques in time and in order to cover-up and escape from paying interest, sent applicants SMS to collect their refund cheques from their Green Park Ext. branch, on the pretext that the cheque has been returned by the courier company. This resulted in a mess as thousands of applicants turned-up at their branch to collect refunds. There were long queues and no guard was present to manage the crowd. People kept boiling inside and kept cursing such sheer mismanagement and harassment by ICICI Bank. The situation was so tense that it could have resulted in violence or maybe stampede. What use is technology when we don't make use of it and trouble innocent people for none of their fault.
